Oh My God!

Oh My God!

A short video surrounding the controversy in 2010 of a project to build an Islamic cultural center and mosque near ground zero. On the ninth anniversary of 9/11, conservative and religious Americans opposed to the mosque project gathered in lower Manhattan to protest against the project. They claimed that this was sacred ground. There were also many citizens who came to support the project in the name of religious tolerance. President Obama reaffirmed the right of all Americans to freely practice the religion of their choice. The project was ultimately dropped.

Facts on the Ground

“Facts on the Ground” is a trailer made in 2009 for a web documentary project that unfortunately never got funded. It concerns specifically the issue of East Jerusalem, which was to become the location of the Palestinian parliament following the Oslo Peace Accords in 1993. Many believe that a Palestinian state within the previously designated territory is quite impossible today and the question now is what will be the nature of Israeli-Palestinian cohabitation. The prognosis is not encouraging. The project idea follows an EU report in 2008 that Israeli “facts on the ground” were jeopardizing the possibility of a viable Palestinian state.
